A Louis Armstrong Performance, Recipes Included - NYTimes.com
The Press Club recently discovered an LP of the performance, one of just 300 pressed, with liner notes listing three dozen recipes that are said to have been Armstrong’s favorites. Now, Smithsonian Folkways is releasing it on CD and as a digital download.

White beans and ham hocks, and “Louisiana caviar” — like the Middle Eastern eggplant spread, but zapped with Tabasco — could not be simpler and tastier. There are fried chicken, three kinds of po’boy sandwiches and a seafood gumbo recipe that serves 25.
Yeah… I may need to get a copy of this…

054 - Ticket III
Itzhak Perlman is my favourite violinist, and one of the world’s leading violinist. I’m very lucky that he regularly comes and performs with the Seattle Symphony, a privilege that I did not have in Australia.
