102 - Ryan
I dropped Ryan at the airport tonight; he’s moving to New York.
While I’m happy for him that he’s moving there, I’m sad that a good friend and drinking buddy is moving to the other side of the country.
Happy move Ryan! I’ll see you when I see you!
095 - Three glasses
Washing up after Ryan, Brendan and I had a glass of scotch (the expensive stuff) to toast Ryan’s moving to New York.
092 - Suz’s salt water face
Suz had never heard of rinsing your mouth with salt water before to help get rid of mouth ulcers (canker sores). Her salt water rinsing face is comedy gold.
082 - Rebecca
I went down to San Diego to visit my friend Rebecca, who was up from Melbourne for a conference.
We surprised my friend Emily for her 30th birthday with dinner at The Herbfarm last night.
They gave her a crown, and referred to her as “Your Majesty” or “Your Highness” all night. It was amazing.
063 - Emily
It was Emily’s 30th birthday party tonight… Happy birthday Emily!
The alternative title to this photo is “OMG! It’s Emily’s birthday!!!”
Was just shopping for new toys for Chloe on Amazon and ran into a friend.
First sentence at our high school reunion, even before “Hey, how have you been?”, was “Is that really you on Amazon?”
The only thing I’ll be remembered by. Yes, that’s me on Amazon.
There should be a line on your eulogy or epitaph… “Millions recognised him… Few knew him.”
047 - Drinks with friends
I bumped into Ryan and Michelle tonight. Not the sharpest photo at a slow shutter speed, but it had the most character out of the others I took tonight.
Five Questions for the Bartender: Gregg Holcomb of Knee High Stocking Co. — Sauced
Every now and then I mention bartender friends of mine at bars I go to regularly. Gregg is a bartender at one of my regular haunts, the Knee High Stocking Company on Capitol Hill, though I am friends with him from when he used to work at the now defunct Chez Gaudy.
Congrats on the great profile Gregg!
