Finally: Here’s Your First Look At The Return of Whose Line Is It Anyway? Premiering July 16th At 8PM on The CW

Whose Line Is It Anyway?, the cult improv show that stopped producing new episodes nearly a decade ago, is coming back to TV starting this July — and The CW has just released a first look at the (slightly) revamped series.

Starring Whose Line? vets Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, Wayne Brady, the revived show will be hosted by Aisha Tyler, best known as the voice of Lana on the FX show ‘Archer’, and feature a different special guest each week.

If this first clip is any indication, Stiles, Mochrie, and Brady have spent the last ten years in an improv concentration camp because they haven’t lost a single morsel of extemporaneous talent.

Whose Line Is It Anyway? Take 2 is set to premiere Tuesday, July 16th, at 8 PM ET.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been picked up as a series by ABC.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is slated to take place in Marvel Cinematic Universe continuity, and given the high-profile of the Marvel Studios films it was heavily expected to get a series order. Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). From Executive Producers Joss Whedon (“Marvel’s The Avengers,” ”Buffy the Vampire Slayer”); Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”pilot co-writers (“Dollhouse,” “Dr.Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”); Jeffrey Bell (“Angel,” “Alias”); and Jeph Loeb (“Smallville”) comes Marvel’s first TV series. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is produced by ABC Studios and Marvel Television.

Now, originally people were blogging that the pilot episode would be airing after the season finale of Once Upon A Time, but Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the series order for Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has actually not officially happened yet but expected soon, as the ABC pilot “is considered the safest bet on the board.” So no worries, it is happening, it’s just not happening yet.

If grandmothers around the world had a rallying cry, it would probably sound something like “You need to eat!”

Photographer Gabriele Galimberti’s grandmother said something similar to him before one of his many globetrotting work trips. To ensure he had at least one good meal, she prepared for him a dish of ravioli before he departed on one of his adventures.

“In that occasion I said to my grandma ‘You know, Grandma, there are many other grandmas around the world and most of them are really good cooks,” Galimberti wrote via email. “I’m going to meet them and ask them to cook for me so I can show you that you don’t have to be worried for me and the food that I will eat!’ This is the way my project was born!”

The project, “Delicatessen With Love”, took Galimberti to 58 countries where he photographed grandmothers with both the ingredients and finished signature dishes.

He acted as photographer and stylist during each shoot with the grandmothers, taking a portrait of both the women and the food they made for him.

Isolina Perez De Vargas, 83, Mendoza, Argentina. Asado criollo (mixed meats barbecue).

Bisrat Melake, 60, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Enjera with curry and vegetables.

So this is an absolutley brilliant idea! Just attach the plug on to a window and it will harness solar energy. A small converter will convert it into electricity which can be freely used as a plug when you are in the car, on a plane or outside.

Love this design and I really think it has a great potential.

Not sure how I feel about this. I’m very glad Kar Wai is back to doing more rainwork, but in general I would prefer that he stick with people gazing at each other in sadness in the rain rather than kicking each other in the rain. I’ll admit the glass breaking in the storm looks good, but I worry that this is another of the little experiments that has taken his career on this unfortunate detour in recent years. I’m all for letting a man experiment, but just walk away from the heartbreaking stories of urban ennui you do better than anyone Kar Wai!

For instance, the idea of people kicking each other in the rain sounds good, but when you get down to it, rain isn’t going to make a fight any rougher or scarier, just kind of sloshier and messier. A lot of people slipping, if you’re going to get serious about it and slipping is not the stuff of nailbiting action.

Also - that straw Panama maintains its shape awfully well in the torrential downpour. Must we throw all disbelief out the window to take this journey with Kar Wai. In the Mood for Love didn’t ask us to accept such things!

Nevertheless, I’ll be first in line.
